FYI Malcolm mentioned during the closing Q&A at TouchDesigner Summit '19 that it is highly unlikely that tessellation shaders will be added before the underlying architecture switch to vulkan is completed, which may take a year or more to complete.

GPU processes are becoming so cheap to do real-time that this needs to happen sooner or later, lets make it sooner :smiley:

I have a feeling we are waiting on the Vulcan changes folks, so I imagine this might be possible some time after that.
