This is a huge update that brings a ton of polish and improvements and a few new features as well. Let’s dig in…

TDAbleton - A major update to TDAbleton fixes a number of bugs and adds new features as well. There has been a reworking of some components and repackaging, so users of TDAbleton should update the core TDAbleton package and read the Backwards Compatibility Issues highlighted in the release notes.

CineForm codec was open sourced recently by GoPro and as such we have updated the codec enabling CineForm to be used without the previously needed 3rd party license. As well, all licenses of TouchDesigner including Non-Commercial and now both Windows and macOS can encode and decode the codec. CineForm can now be used by everyone looking for very high-quality and high-performance codec.

macOS dark geometry issue resolved for macOS computers with certain Intel GPUs. This has been a issue for over a year and made geometry look dark in 3D viewers and renders as Apple’s openGL Intel GPU drivers have a bug that lit polygons from the wrong side. We are happy to report that is should now be fixed for everyone. We have also included a new built-in function for the GLSL MAT to help GLSL shader writers work around this driver bug.

Serial CHOP and Serial DAT can now be set to any baud rate, no longer limited to the menu entries only.

The Filter CHOP has a new Reset input, the Layout TOP has Border features, and the Tile TOP now has an Extend parameter to give you more control over these OPs.

Furthermore, many crashes and bugs have been fixed, a small case of over-cooking solved, and lots of general polish make this build a must update, get it now!
