360 video for Youtube

Hi,

Is there an easily way to create 360 video for youtube with 3d elements and cameras or do we need to built it?

I know cubemap can do that but Youtube need an other render like the PtGui (probe render?).

My bad, I didn’t see this node before posting, everything is here :

derivative.ca/wiki088/index. … ection_TOP

hiya any chance you could post an example work flow?
I’d like to render to youtube 360 but am new to touch designer,
thank you.

I’m in for a simple example too!
I have tried decripting that wiki page before!
It would be so simple if we could see it connected and working, thx

It’s very straightforward… just been doing it.

Put a camera, geometry and light if required in 3D space where you want it.

Add render top and set to “cube map” at the bottom of the first page

Pass that to a projection top and select “equirectangular”

Send to OBS via syphon/spout or screen capture

On YouTube the livestream needs to be created using the “event” stream rather than just going live

You need to toggle 360 in the advanced settings.

Hope this helps.

Nick

Cool, you guys rock! thx a bunch.

Youtube removed 360 video from advanced settings. The new workflow is use the Spatial Media Metadata Injector to mark your video as spherical (before upload).
