I’ve been following Matthew Ragan’s Image Selector tutorial and ran into something odd.
(Link to the tut, with timecode of where my project went awry: youtu.be/H-peppBDdTo?t=1572)
Everything was going along just fine until something happened and all my operators got a Gray X through them.
I don’t think its something I did necessarily, because even previous versions of the file show the same thing. So its not like it was the last thing I did caused it.
(Renaming a TOP Null to “BG”)
The gray X means cooking is disabled for that node. My guess is you clicked the cooking flag on the COMP in which all these nodes reside, which means all nodes in that COMP have now cooking disabled.
If you zoom out to a higher level you can click the cooking flag icon ( it’s an “x”, 3rd from the top) to enable cooking for that COMP (and all nodes in it) again.
