long Top to Chop cook time

Hi All,

Working on a project which requires converting several tops to chops in order to instance and texture geometry for an LED previz. My issue is the 3 top to chops i’m using for different surfaces seem to be eating a ton of cook time (+ or - 7 to 15ms) causing significant frame drop.

I’ve played around with resolution - lower resolutions cook faster. I’m open to this considering the result will be a lower resolution LED pixel map…

Is the Top to Chop inherently a CPU expensive component?
Is there another method of converting this data to optimize this part of the network?

Try changing the download type parameter in the TOPto Chop to “Next frame”
