How to control lines after instancing

Hey there guys

I´m a graphic design student from germany and absolute beginner when it comes to Touchdesigner!

For a project we took a couple of branches and ordered them in a circle hanging from the ceiling. We now are projecting different shapes on them reacting to a audio input. So far most of them are looking pretty great

One thing I couldn´t accomplish so far is the following:
I want to do several lines falling down (like stretched raindrops) with different speed and bit of scaling.

After watching Matthew Ragan´s tutorial about instancing I thought I got the idea how to achieve what I want but well I ended up here :frowning:

So what I did so far:
1.) In my geo I created a rectangle for the shape of the drops
2.) Than I created a line with several points on it and connected it to a DAT as a instance for the geo (basically I followed Matthew´s tutorial)
3.) With a CHOP I transformed the Y position so that the lines are coming down
4.) I than used a beat CHOP to control how many lines are coming down.

My problem right now is that the lines which are added are appearing right next the to each other instead of coming down individually.
I just can´t figure out how to give each line a different Y position, speed and so on.

I added the .toe so you can better understand what I mean.

Thank you guys so much for your help!
