Using Oculus Audio on the Vive via Revive

I was very excited to see (hear) Oculus Audio working with my Vive in v99 by patching it with Revive. However the process I’ve tried doesn’t work for v88 - Revive patching corrupts the install so you have to reinstall Touch.

This is the error message when running v88 post Revive patching
“The procedure entry point VR_Init could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files\Derivative\TouchDesigner088\bin\libOPVR.dll”

Any workarounds possible to patch v88 for Revive?

The v99 process which worked for a simple 2 spatial audio channel test was:

Install and run Revive Dashboard - github.com/LibreVR/Revive
Right Click | Patch - Select touch v99 exe and accept prompts to overwrite files
Replaces openvr_api.dll

Then any toes that contain Oculus Audio work with the Vive.

ha, that’s interesting to know you can hack a way to use oculus audio on the vive in 99, well done

Now that 099 is the official release with so many things fixed&improved, maybe it’s a good idea to upgrade your project also to 99… if you can.

Yes, definitely upgrading to v99 Pro but expecting some pain in porting this particular project so if I can shoehorn into v88 Pro I’ll be happy.
