Geometry COMP

This is my first time to ask in this Forum, and I am not good at use English.
But I want to solve this problem, please give me any advice.

I imported a 3DCG object made from Cinema4d, and convert to .fbx file.
I succeed to import, but when I try to connect the Geo COMP(3DCG Object) to Copy SOP to let the fish move like boid algorithm, the fish’s fill(tail?) doesn’t move.
It means I can inherit 3DCG’s “figure”, but can’t inherit 3DCG’s “animation” to the CopySOP.
Also I can’t inherit 3DCG’s material.

If there are someone who has a experience which use Geo COMP to connect CopySOP, please tell me how to solve.

I attached the .toe file.
Please look it.

I’m not familiar with bone animation but it’s seems to be connected to the phongMAT (named Pilchard). Then that mat is applied to the geometry’s render material.
The way I understand it, you are currently duplicating your mesh/sop BEFORE the animation is applied.

You would have to either replicate the geometry (with a replicate comp) or try applying the material to the SOP with a materialSOP (see screenshot).

I dont have the linked files so I dont know if it really works :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you for your advice:)

I had tried replicate Geo, and inserted materialSOP between BoneGroup and Null.
But I couldn’t solve the problem…

But I could learn a new technique(replicate and materialSOP) thanks to you.
Thank you very much.
