SUBMITED: RUN button in Text DAT parameter window

I’d like a button to click on that will run the script in a DAT (well, generally a Text one).

often when I’m paying with scripts, I wan tot just run it .

I always make a quick pushbutton and hook it up to the DAT, but it would be great to have it easily available in the Parameter box.

how about this being a slider type parameter, so we could also insert an expression to trigger the script. Could come in handy and save some CHOP “detours”

I like the parameter idea, even thought it is easy to do with 1 extra CHOP.

For just running a DAT script when you are working in a network (like Rodney wants to do I think), the fastest way I find is to right-click on the DAT and select Run Script.

or even better, how about make it a button parameter (as rod requested), but introduce something like the expression mode for sliders, where we can enter an expression for the button state. Maybe the same for a dropdown lists.

Ah, I didn’t realise the run script menu entry was there!

I should’ve read tha manual!
