RFE: "Comp Under Input" for Edge TOP

While the Edge TOP’s “Comp Over Input” parameter is useful, also having the ability to “Comp Under Input” would be very useful since the created edge overlaps pixels of whatever is being fed into it.

I’m regularly finding that being able to quickly outline things (like text) with an opposing color edge would be very handy, especially in UI stuff where you’re not sure what the hue or value of the background will be at any moment.

In addition, lots of other TOPs have the ability to take an input, usually just for inheriting the resolution et al, but also usually Comping it’s own contents over the input. It would be nice if there was a consistent switch (maybe in common tab? maybe not…) for some more of these TOPs that would allow you to put that TOP’s contents under the input instead of over it.

Some TOPs where I think this would be appropriate would be, for example:

  • Blur TOP
  • Circle TOP
  • Constant TOP
  • Edge TOP
  • Emboss TOP
  • Noise TOP
  • Ramp TOP
  • Rectangle TOP
  • Slope TOP

Maybe?:

  • Text TOP?
  • Threshold TOP?

Though those last two would be pretty rarely used I think…
