FIXED: [099] 2017.1900 MacOS Crashing on launch

So I recently upgraded my mac pro tower to 10.11.6 build number 15G1217 and I have not been able to even launch Touchdesigner 099. It attempts to open, bounces for a bit then just disappears and gives me an error message with an option to relaunch however that leads to the same result. I also tried creating a new user however that gave the same result as well.

The machine im running on has 2 x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon with 18gb of ram and an ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB

Has anyone else had this issue?

Any help would be awesome! thanks for your help.

The oldest ATI/AMD graphics card supported is the HD 7000.
See system requirements here

Time to upgrade your video card…

A popup saying your videocard is not supported would be nice though.

Thanks for the heads up!

I’m having the same problem and I’m using a
AMD Radeon HD 7970
The program won’t launch

That’s a bit weird but it looks like you have a supported video card

Is it not launching, or is it crashing? If it is not launching, do you see any messages in Console->System Log? If it is crashing, can you check Console->User Reports and see if there’s a crash log of the form TouchDesigner099_XXX.crash?

If you post the information above, we can try and figure out what is going on. One more question, which version of macOS are you running?

I will test this for you this evening

Hi Nicky, could you also see if there is a crash log as Selina suggested above?

New build 3340 just posted which we think has a fix for this startup crash you were all experiencing.

The newest version is working on my machine now with the old video card
