When I try to type in Animation Editor the name of a channel with brackets, as trans[xyz], I cannot type the brackets. In another places, like operator parameter, no problem.
If I copy and paste from another place, it works.
Hello,
I forget to say it’s happen on MacOs 10.11.6, TD 099, french (shift-alt-5) and swiss french (alt-5) keyboard
It’s the same in Textport
But I can use copy and paste from Atom or textEdit
Hey,
When I inspect the macOS keyboard layout for those languages, they ( ) do not line up with what keystrokes you are referring to.
The Keyboard settings report for French ( == 5 and ) == -
and for Swiss French ( == shift+8 and ) == shift+9
Could you try those just to see if we are talking about the same things here.
I have included the screen grab of the French keyboard settings.
Hello, I confirm how it works on my two keyboards:
pure French
alt-shift-5 (above opening parenthesis) for [
alt-shift-° (above closing parenthesis) for ]
Swiss French
alt- 5 for [
alt- 6 for ]
It works when I am in text editor or in operator parameter.
It didn’t when I try to type it inside Textport or Animation channel (I didn’t try all the possibilities…)
It works with copy/paste
My apologies, I thought you meant ( )
I’ll try to reproduce the [] issue!

Jacques
Hello, it works now int Textport, but not in Names inside Animation…
Can you explain where? maybe a screengrab? I’m not sure where you mean.
Hello,
Here is a screen grab, impossible to enter square brackets with keyboard, only copy-paste.
Jacques
