tristrip transparency depth test bug?

win10 x64 2019.18580

Hi I have a flat sop, generated from a trace SOP, that copied 8 times on z, and with the tristrip sop bypassed, the entire sop renders as I’d expect with transparency, each layer accumulating a bit more brightness as it comes towards the camera.

However, with the tristrip sop enabled to improve sop performance during upload, the transparency effect breaks.

I’ve noticed that lower poly tristrip sops seem to sometimes work fine, but higher poly ones do not.
