Quad-Buffered Stereo issue 2018.27550 and any other. WIN

2018.27550 and any other. 64 WIN 10

Hello! I’m using a Radeon Pro WX9100 with a couple of Optoma GT1080 projectors, witch
(according to manual) can work at 1080@60hz or 720@120Hz in normal mode and 1080@30Hz or 720@60Hz in stereoscopic 3D (with active shutter glasses).

They do work fine in non-stereoscopic mode - 1080@60 or 720@120, and when I enable Quad-Buffered stereo in radeon’s settings - projectors goes at 19202190@30Hz or 12801470@60Hz (because of frame-packing) as they should do.

But when i start TD with environment variable TOUCH_STEREO=1 projectors automatically switching their refresh rate to 12801470@30Hz or 19202190@11Hz .

So i can get some 3D image at 720@30Hz (But noticeably worse than a 60Hz) but if resolution is 1920*2190@11Hz i can’t get no image at all.

In top-bottom or side-by-side modes (without enabling quad-buffered stereo) it works fine at both 1080@60 and 720@120, but it seems like i get less FPS and it is very hard to do a development, switching in between stereo\non-stereo modes with projectors RC.

It seems, like TD forces driver to reduce refresh rate at half (to match bandwidth of HDMI 1.4a), even if it was already reduced, when i enabled quad-buffered stereo in settings.

Thanks for the report, we have one of these cards so we can setup a test in a bit. Just to make it easier to get a reproducible case, would it be possible to upload a very basic render-output setup you are using so we can jump right in?

Hello!

Thank you for your reply.
You can see problem even with standard StereoRenderExample file. It starts right after you launch any TD file. (as long as TD stereo env. var = 1 and 3D enabled in Windows settings).
