FIXED: win 2018.23760 failed to open some .png files

Failed to to open some .png files that has no problems to open in 088
For example this one:

This file opens ok for me. Can you reconfirm this file fails, and maybe send it to us at support@derivative.ca incase the forum is changing the file somehow?
Thanks

Had to try it as I know the building, having lived in Weimar for a long time
and for me it opens without problems in 64bit build 23120 on win10.
In my experience PNGs are somewhat prone to get damaged while being copied over the network (has been an ongoing problem when I was still working with PNG image sequences).
Maybe just redownload the file and try again…
cheers

Hi,
I work for the Genius Loci Festival. I actually used literally the same file from the animation Pack while mapping the small 3D printed models of the façades with the competition results. I just opened the patch where I use this file in the newest TD official Buid, it seems to still open without any problems, but trying to import the other png files from the animation pack I noticed that drag and drop does not work, the files fail to open. The workaround for me was to lay a movieFileIn node and then enter the file name.

Hope that helps! Can’t wait to meet you and see your show in August!

Best,

David

Haha!
Thx everybody)
Sent file to support email.
Yes guess the problem somewhere in drag and drop + expression:

The issue ended up being a character in the path that we weren’t handling correctly, specifically —, which is different from the keyboard dash -
For now you can avoid the bug by removing that character from the path.
This bug will be fixed in the next build of 2018.20000 that we post.
Thanks for the report.
