RealSense TOP Bugs 2018.21150 Windows 10

2018.21150 windows 10

Issue 1:
In a blank project, sometimes when I try to place a new RealSense TOP node, TD freezes entirely. I’ve uploaded a CrashAutoSave.

Issue 2:
I have 2 415 and 2 435 cameras connected to my computer with a PCIe card. Using the RealSense Viewer, I can stream 848x480 Depth at 90 fps. I don’t see any frame drops or issues. However, when I have 4 RealSense TOPS set to point cloud mode, they work, but three eventually permanently stop getting new frames. Since the RealSense viewer can handle 4 simultaneous depth views, I’m hoping that TD can handle 4 simultaneous point cloud views.

Hi David, when you get these crashes are you getting .dmp files? They are more useful to us, the CrashAutoSave.toe is just your .toe file saved in ‘safe mode’
Thanks

Doh! Here’s a dmp file. 18.dmp is with lots of cameras connected including a Kinect, but no Kinect nodes exist in the project. 19.dmp is with a single D415 connected to the PC. Freezes occur when placing a RealSense TOP.

Edit 4/9: Uploaded 2.dmp 3.dmp which come from the same build of TD but on a different PC. In 2.dmp I was able to place one node successfully and the second node caused a crash. In 3.dmp, in a new project again, placing the first node caused a crash.

I’ve upgraded to the latest RealSense SDK for the next release we post. Hopefully that is more stable.

Build 2018.23080 with a hopeful fix for this on Windows is now available. Unfortunately on macOS there is no change as the librealsense API still crashes on macOS with their test applications and is reported as a known issue in their github issues.

Hi David, any update on how the newer builds work for you now?

Thanks for the fixes and for checking in. I won’t be around the realsense cameras for a few more weeks, so I can’t test yet. I’ll post here when I can.
