TOUCHDESIGNER WORKSHOP SYNOPSIS

This 2-day intensive workshop is the perfect opportunity for novice users to learn directly from the Derivative team. Master the fundamentals with Ben, Markus and Greg and learn how to use TouchDesigner to create beautiful art and intuitive tools to light, move, track, control, map, automate and synchronize your world.

*NOTE: This is only part of the video program, we will be adding more as they become ready.

WORKSHOP VIDEOS

Audio Particle Example| Parts 1, 2, 3 with Ben Voigt

In this example Ben controls particles using an Audio Signal as well as the Animation Editor. Work along sequentially with Parts 1, 2 and 3.





Instancing with the Event CHOP| Parts 1, 2, 3, 4 with Markus Heckmann

This example shows how to use the Event CHOP to create Instances of a 3D Surface and control their look and movement.

Nodes and Techniques covered: Event CHOP, Lookup CHOP, Geo Instancing, RGB to HSV conversion, TOP to CHOP







Input and Output with the Arduino | Parts 1 with Markus Heckmann

This example continues from the Event CHOP example and shows how to use Arduino as an Input and Output device for TouchDesigner using Firmata



Disintegrator using the Timer CHOP| Parts 1, 2, 3 with Greg Hermanovic

This example requires the use of file DisIntegrator.toe. Greg demonstrates how to disintegrate and re-integrate aliens of all ilk using the Timer CHOP.

Elburz gives a very comprehensive demonstration of the workflow, processes and some of the tools that have already been built in TouchDesigner to facilitate projection mapping - like Camschnappr, Kantan Mapper and Dev Harlan's Vert Pusher.
