Formation: PERCEPTION LIBRE: Vidéo Mapping et intéractivités sensorielles
Dates:  January 4 - 22, 2016
Formateur:  Gael Labousse

Instructor: John Bardakos
Dates: March 21 2015
Experience Level: Beginner
Focus: The context of the workshop is self-referential glitch done with TouchDesigner. The software is used to produce artificial corruption of media with the use of data that derives from the media itself. Different contexts of TouchDesigner will be used as transformation of Data from TOP's to SOP's DAT's and SOP's and back to TOP's glitched images or videos.
TouchDesigner is used as a platform for manipulating audiovisual information flow in order to produce chaotic deconstructed forms.

Title: Les Shaders with TouchDesigner
Instructor: Quentin Bleton
Dates: 4th and 11th of March 2015
Experience Level: Advanced
Focus: Quentin Bleton, Moment Factory Solutions Architect will be conducting a 2-part 6hr advanced workshop on making, modifying and controlling pixel and vertex shaders. It is an opportunity for those working creatively with TouchDesigner to collaborate in an informal and welcoming environment, to explore new ideas,to meet new people and exchange knowledge openly. Everyone wishing to attend these sessions should be willing to discuss their work with beginners and advanced tech nerds alike. Most of all—let's have fun!

For Touch IN, we'll meet every two months at the VolvoxLabs Space in the Brooklyn Fire Proof Building off the L train on Morgan. In between the Touch In meetings, we will have less informal Touch OUT meet-ups as we hit the bar downstairs or nearby and mingle with beer!

For our first meeting we are thrilled to host TouchDesigner guru Alex Czetwertyski who is now based in Brooklyn, NYC. Alex has been involved in a number of amazing projects and will be sharing some of his recent work. We’ll also have a break-out session so we can get to know each other and forge how we want the Touch In-n-Out Series to proceed- what everyone's ideas and 'wishes' might be.

Please bring your gear and enthusiasm, more info to come!

Three things seem to surround us all the time and in great abundance: data visualization, audio visualization and mapping. We will show you how to do all three things at once using TouchDesigner. In the course of this workshop we will demonstrate techniques used in TouchDesigner to pull data off the web, visualize the data and enhance your creation with some real-time audio analysis. Because we can, we'll also map the whole thing onto a simple physical object. Using partially prepared components, you will learn how the different operator types in TouchDesigner can be used to process and convert data, and to generate 3D elements and 2D textures. You will also see how the software can be used to build tools that are reusable for everyday projects.
