FBX path annoyance

Postby rurik » Thu Jun 21, 2012 11:31 am

If you start working in Touch before you save your project and bring in an FBX, then save your project in its own directory, Touch loses the path to the FBX. This is highly annoying, because it seems like Touch is ready some invisible sub-directory inside the FBX and copy pasting the actual FBX to the folder where your .toe is does not seem to fix the problem...
What is a workaround for this?
For example in this case Touch says it is missing
$TOUCH/Import/MyGeometry.fbx/Geo/LowRes.tog
So if I put my FBX file inside
$TOUCH/Import/
I am not seeing "LowRes.tog"

If you imported it without first saving a .toe file, then the Import directory would have been created on your desktop. You can copy it from here to wherever you have saved your .toe to get the paths working again.
I agree this needs improvement though.
