puting a cell from a table DAT or a TEXT DAT values TEXT Sop

Hi All,
I cant seem to figure out how to get text form either a cell in a table DAT or simple text from a TEXT DAT into the text field of the TEXT SOP (prefer this to TEXT chop)

i cat export from the TEXT DAT a value that changes.. only the actual text at that time o drag it to the text field...

Hi drxian,

attached is something that might help

the expression `tab("table1", 0, 0)` will get the top lefthand cell from table1, assuming they are in the same level. check out the other table expressions too as they can access by name instead of by number etc.

$OD is used to use the digits component of th eoperator name so it automagically reference the next row when you paste it under a new name.

hmm ok i tried to cut and paste the `tab("select1", 0, 0)` into the TEXT field of the TXT SOP.. but i don't think its a normal field. its the same as the label for a node.. strangely.. it does not let anything be EXPORTED to it and pasting hte above epxression into it the non letter characters are all converted to _ ?!?!

ooops sorry being stupid .. just figured out what $ON meant in the TEXT field..
