Is there any way to edge blend two layers?
When you bring layer mask on top of another the texture alpha is not used.

Yeah, I also want to know how I could edge blend two mapped outputs

For those with the blending doubt, you can easily map anything and use the build-in Edge Blend tool, in Tools on the Palette Browser dialog.

I've a question..
How can I easily map one big video on different "surfaces", like.. if I map the sample image and it gives me a lot of freeforms and rectangles, and I don't want to play different videos in each surface, but a big video linked between the surfaces and with perspective deformations.
The way Kantan Mapper edit the textures give me control for small texture, but if I want to take just small parts of a video and put it in different surfaces and also modify the perspective of the texture, with the edit texture dialog and its tools is just not possible. If I could generate a reference image of my mapping and get some coordenates of the surfaces corners to match the video or something it would be better.
Anyone knows a better way or possible way to do it?

thanks.

Hello Victor

try using the Crop TOP to crop the corresponding parts in the source video, and then applying the Crops to the surfaces

cheers,

Thanks Ruigato, works like a charm!

Is it possible to do network mapping with Kantan Mapper, like, if I could use two powerfull computers just to play videos and real-time graphics but control the mapping with a normal notebook that would send signals to the powerfull ones?

Hey everyone how's it going I'm super excited to be here working with this software and Kantan Mapper is awesome! I have a problem though and I'm sure it is something simple but I can't manage to "apply" the resolution after I input the projector's resolution into the boxes in the control panel. It seems to just stay the same. My projector has a resolution of 1024x768 yet it is still projecting in the default resolution of 1280x720.

Thanks for your help!

EDIT: I managed to correct it by manually changing the resolution under project/local/set variables. I'd still love to be able to do it from the control panel though so if anyone has any input it would be appreciated!

Anyone know how to assign whether a layer is visible to a MIDI button? I've searched for what is happening in the program when you toggle the "v" next to the masks but no luck.

Thanks!

Loving this Tool ... what would be really for current application is a way to
define the part of the source top you want map to your layer using a similar
tool to the rectangle masks. I know you can use a Crop TOP before applying it to
a layer then corner pin from there but this can be a bit fiddle.

anyone got any thoughts on how to do this?

cheers,

Puck.

Regarding using the Crop TOP to extract parts of an image:

It may be better to use the Corner Pin TOP's parameters under the Extract tab. The Crop TOP only lets you cut rectangles. Corner Pin's Extract lets you cut any 4-sided quadrelateral.

Hi Snaut,

Is there any way to animate the corner pins of the masks?
and also to bind the masks together so they can be moved together from one area to another?

awesome component btw! :)

thanks.
