SECOND MONITOR WONT WORK

Postby HOTsos » Tue Mar 01, 2011 7:35 pm

When i open the windows configuration options (ALT-W)

I don't get the multiple monitor options in there.

I'm sure it's something simple - anyone know why this doesn't work?

Should i have my second monitor set to EXTEND DESKTOP?
Or...how do i make it work
(using windows 7 if that makes a difference)

THANKS!

It doesn't work like that anymore. You have to place a window comp down, give it an operator (typically output TOP) to reference and then set it's monitor parameter to '1' instead of '0', then switch it's 'ON' parameter to above 0. There are other options, but that will get you started I think.

So far so good
i just can't see the "ON" parameter you are talking about

Is it for the WINDOW ? or the OUT SOP?

i may be blind - i've been staring at it for a while and i cant see that parameter anywhere.

thanks for you help!

Sorry, it is 'open' , not 'on'. Take a look at the wiki article on the window COMP, that should tell you everything you need:
