Count Chop Bug

Postby matthewwachter » Mon Apr 09, 2012 3:02 am

Hey guys,

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but the Count Chop is not counting at all when it lives within a container. If its on the top level the problem seems to disappear.

It seems to be inconsistent which has led me to believe this is a bug. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Anyone have any workarounds? Maybe through scripting.

I'm using build 17780 on a mid 2008 macbook pro.

you can append a null CHOP and set it to always cook.

this is because nodes will only cook if their data is used somewhere, i.e. gets exported to an element that's actually endered, or if you look at the tileviewer ...

I still have issues with count chops not counting all the time.

In most of my scenes I have scripted my own methods of counting as an alternative.

Has any one else experienced this issue? I'll try and find an example to post.
