Seamless Edges between multiple projectors

Postby AndrewB » Tue Apr 03, 2012 10:35 am

Hey I'm working on a large projection video project where i'm using 3 projectors to cover the entire wall. This will be one large video that i'm cropping part into thirds and displaying each piece per projector to cover the entire wall. One of the questions we are having about this within touch is the idea of seamless edges. Is there a way in touch to feather the edge of a video at all?
My other idea is to crop lets say 5% over the next video and dim the light so its not extra bright and then put it back together. Cropping it out and dimming isn't an issue at all but how would you put it back together? my guess was to use an over but i'm not able to define the size of the video area so that i can have both of them together viewing at once. Anyone know how to do this?

You can use Ramp TOPs to create the falloff mask and then use a Multiply TOP to apply it to the image. If you need to falloff all 4 the edges you can just multiply two Ramp TOPs together first (one with a horizontal ramp and one with a vertical ramp).
