Black feedback lines from Kinect

This is my first post....so yeah Hi! :)

I am wondering what technique if any people are using to get rid of the black feedback lines that are present in the Kinect depth map?

If you take them out by using a chromakey top what would you replace them with to make up for the missing data? Or the other thought was maybe you create two duplicate depth images, stack them on top of each other and shift them horizontally based on how far you are from the sensor?

I don't know...any help or tips would be appreciated.

Nevermind.

I was too close to it. I have never used or played with a Kinect before yesterday (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it) :mrgreen:

Once I got a little distance I was able to use the chroma key and level top to get my desired results. Got the push pins working perfectly. Now if I could just figure out that damn GLSL code that I have been staring at in the network...

another possibility for you might be this kinect CU lens. Though I have no first hand experience myself.

So does anyone know why I cannot use any other video sources when I have the kinect plugged in?

I have a webcam and also have a sony ptz camera running in through a usb video capture and I cannot get either one to work when the kinect is going. Is there some system setting I can adjust or whats the reason behind this...I wanna be able to use a video source for texture.

And has anyone used two or more kinects at the same time?

hi, sorry for the offtopic question, but are you using a Commercial license or is there a way to get Kinect to work with the non-commercial TD ?
