Possible ScreenGrab bug Windows7

I've come to realize the other day that the screen grab TOP is functioning extremely slowly on my new machine with windows7. On my other computer its taking about 5 to 10 ms to cook. On the new computer its taking 40-45 ms and my frame rate is dropping from 70 fps to 20. Everything else is functioning much faster on the new box.

Should I run winXP? Does it have something to do with not being able to use horizontal span?

The change in speed is probably due to the new window composting system. Not sure if there is a different API we should be using to get the desktop image...

Thanks, I had a feeling it was probably because of some new way windows was working. So I guess I should install XP if I want to use the screengrab in the near future, sounds like it might take some time before this changes.
