FIXED: Crashing when exporting

Postby keithlostracco » Tue Jun 07, 2011 1:20 am

I think my project might be corrupted or a there is a bug. When I try to export to a channel inside of a comp called GeoAll, TD is locking up. I've tried the same project on two different machines (Win7 and XP) and keep getting the same result. I've tried everything I can think of to stop this from happening but it is still occurring. I have gotten around it though by copying the desired ops to another project making the export there and then copying them back to first.

I'm not sure if it is related but I had a problem before exporting an OSC channel to a Timeline Comp's tempo parameter. It would not function correctly and I realized when I tried exporting from within the local comp that I was getting an infinite recursion error. To get around this I used a chopto DAT to get the channel from the OSC chop and then used a datto to export to the timeline comp. I thought everything was fine until this new locking up scenario happened and I thought maybe setting the timeling comp's play parameter to 0 might help and I noticed the infinite recursion error flickering on and off when I moved the slider.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could take a look at the project soon, my first gig of the summer is coming up in 10 days.

thanks
Keith

as a workaround try choosing chop reference instead of exporting

This bug is now fixed. The issue is that it was trying to create a new DAT for the exports called null1_export, but that DAT already exists, and it's running into a bug when trying to create an alternate one.
If you just rename null1 to something else, you won't get that bug.

Fix is in build 14100 or later.

Thanks that makes things easy. I have to say you guys have the best support of any software I've ever used.

Did you have a chance to look at the timeline comp scenario I was talking about?

thanks
