Noise TOP unexpected jaggedness discontinuity

I have the Noise TOP at 32-bit wired into a threshold. I see unexpected jaggedness in the result. What explains this? How can I avoid it? The settings on the Noise TOP are pretty standard and the transform tz is only 5.76. I always thought this sort of thing could happen with large parameter values but 5.76 seems pretty low.

hey, can you elaborate on what you are expecting? Threshold will just created 0 and 1 pixels, so no matter what it’ll be jaggy. Not quite following what the issue is?

This area in red looks odd since the period of the noise is so large. I would expect a “jaggy” to take up at most one-pixel, but it appears to take up several. This kind of thing happens somewhat frequently in the Simplex 3D mode but maybe not at all in Perlin 3D. Pretty minor problem I admit.
