Can TD make water/liquids?

I am new to animation and just want to make sure I chose the right software to learn.

My end goal is to make water-related generative animations like waterfalls, rain drops, and crashing waves.

Are these doable in TD? About how long would it take for a newbie to learn to do this? A few weeks? A few months?

Or is it better to make the water in another software and import to TD?

thank you

yes and no.

look at Vincent houze work: it’s done in touch but it involves a lot of glsl coding wizardry

I guess something like notch would be more efficient in that regard (fast beautiful 3d renders)
TD plus-value is in the multi data type interactive / development platform qualities

short answer: possible but hard

thanks! yeah I asked some VFX guys and they agree it seems like nice 3d water is all about shaders, so in TD’s case glsl coding rather than throwing some nodes together with noise & texture.

As a TD/animation noobie, but hoping to make this long term, I’m guessing learning GLSL is a right of passage requirement to become a good animator in all software suites?
