Hello,
I wonder how I can define the “to”-parameter of a renameCHOP by referencing it from a nother CHOP or DAT, in which I can easyly type in the new name. I tried to get the name by entering op(‘table1’) [0,0], and get the name that is inserted in the first row and column of a tabelDAT, but this doesnt work. Someone any idea?

you need to set the Parameter Mode of the Rename CHOP’s renameto parameter to expression mode (that is the blue box)

oh, wow, that was simple. Seems I am still struggling with the apparently unlimited possibilities of TouchDesigner. Thanks for hte hint and your demofile!
