3D tree or L-System?

Postby quicksnail » Tue Nov 10, 2009 7:04 pm

Hi Folks,

I have an idea that involves creating a 3D dynamic tree that grows over time. Has anyone done this already in touch and how hard would it be to create? I'm a beginner so would appreciate opinions on difficulty for a beginner or an experienced touch user.

Would it be doable to create an L-system in touch?

thanks!

Touch has an L-System SOP you can use to create L-Systems.

there're some Lsystem tutorials on the web for Houdini. Touch's L-system SOP is almost identical to the one in Houdini version 4 so old tutes will be resonably relevant and prob. new ones too.
