Trigger CHOP: what about an `on value change` option?

BIS:
Trigger CHOP: what about including an on value change option in ‘Trigger On’?

Getting spoiled by “On Value Change” in the Text DATs, eh? Yes, it’s so convenient.

Would that mean the same “On Value Change” option in the Logic CHOP? … anywhere else?

By the way, you can get what you want with a Slope CHOP and a Logic CHOP set to “on when non-zero”, fed into the Trigger, which works but is a hassle.

okay, in the next build, the Logic CHOP will have a fourth option in paramter Convert Input - On When Value Changed.

hopefully that will cover all your value changing CHOP needs…

great, I guess the Trim CHOP is is correct in it’s nature but the ‘on value change’ option in Logic CHOP seams a good one. That way we could run scripts similarly like in the Text DAT, and that would make sense.
The thing with Slope CHOP is that it cooks constantly, even with minimal realtime cooks on and smart timeslice on.

Even if I wanted to use two Trigger CHOPs to pick up both, decreasing and increasing values , one Trim will always be cooking, they’ll stay active while the channel doesn’t cross the threshold limit.
The Logic CHOP tweak will keep the monitoring of changes of the input chan passive, ye.
