Sand By The Ton, 11 July 2009

Eye Vapor (http://eyevapor.com), teflonjf and rhaines in this forum,
will be performing at “Sand By The Ton” (http://thebigartexperience.com/) 4pm-dawn, Saturday 11 July 2009 in Oakland, CA.

We’ll also be giving a tech demo for the Bay Area Visual Music Group
and the Bay Area Music Technology Group at 2pm before the gig.
Please come to the tech demo. If you’re coming to the show we’ll see if we can get you on the guest list.

Eye Vapor’s show is entirely Touch driven, incorporating wiimotes,
iPhones, wireless cameras, and other toys.

Also, Sonic Weekly (http://sonicweekly.com) recently published an article titled “Rise Of The Visual Performer”, based on Eye Vapor and an interview with Jeff.

How did it go?

cheers
Markus

oh man, i would have gone to this if i knew you were using touch. i actually know some of the people who put this event together too. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, too bad, it was a great show and big party. The work we were showing was a big hit with the crowd, looked great on 2 big round screens, had a lot of compliments all night. Plus a cool VJ booth in a dome, kept our fans from pouring drinks on the equipment !

Good demo as well, had about 20 people from the Bay Area Visual Music group. All were quite impressed with Touch and several said they’d be giving it a try. Probably about 1/2 were already using processing/max/vvvv.

As an aside, I’ll be working with Opulent Temple up at Burning Man this year. If anyone is attending definitely stop by and say hi. And if you’re interested in performing let me know and we can coordinate something.
