Hey, can you tell me what graphics card are you using and what driver version?

Malcolm,

I’m using NVIDIA GeForce7900 GTX

installed driver = nv4_disp.dll version 6.14.10.9147

I haven’t updated the driver in at least a year - too scared it will mess up Touch.

The thing is rendering was working fine with this driver until RD068.728 around Dec.14 build.
After that, insta crash as mentioned in previous post.

thanks

Hey,
Actually Touch pretty much always works the same or better with newer drivers. The ones you are using seem really old and I’m pretty sure they are the cause of your crash. What I’m seeing from the .dmp files is that the driver isn’t handling the new geometry rendering code I added well. The new code uses new features in OpenGL, and new features require new drivers to work correctly.
Can you try updating to the latest ones?
Thanks

Thanks. Updating drivers fixed it. Downloaded them from nvidia.com and installed lated TD.
Good to go. Thanks for the motivation - should have thought of this first.

Are there any specially tuned drivers that are even faster/perform better with Touch
than the ones Nvidia ships? I remember at some point this being the case.

We always use the official nvidia drivers now.
